About
Dr. Firdous Ahmad Malik is an accomplished economist, researcher, and academic leader specializing in development economics, financial inclusion, and public policy. Currently serving as Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of the People (USA) and Post-Doctoral Fellow at Amity University Dubai, he brings extensive experience in research, teaching, and policy engagement.
He holds a Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Economics from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University and a Master’s degree from the University of Kashmir. His research focuses on financial inclusion, microfinance, poverty dynamics, and sustainable development.
Dr. Malik has authored 14+ books with globally reputed publishers such as Springer, Routledge, and IGI Global, with several upcoming titles. He has published 30+ Scopus-indexed research papers and actively contributes to global academic discourse.
He is the Founding President of the Jammu and Kashmir Economic Association and serves as Editor-in-Chief and journal editor for international publications. His work bridges academia, policy, and social impact, contributing significantly to economic research and inclusive development initiatives.
