About
Prof. Tapan R. Mohanty is a distinguished academician, sociologist, and legal scholar with extensive expertise in Sociology of Law, Human Rights, Gender Studies, Legal Education, and Public Policy. Currently serving as Chairperson, Dean of Distance Education, and Professor at the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, he has held several prestigious national and international academic and administrative positions, including Erasmus-Mundus Fellow at the Denmark University of Education, Copenhagen.
With 3 authored books, numerous research publications and book chapters, and contributions to leading national and international journals, Prof. Mohanty has served on NAAC Peer Review Committees, ICSSR expert panels, editorial boards, and reviewer panels of several reputed journals. He has also delivered invited lectures and presented papers at international conferences across Europe and Asia, reflecting his longstanding commitment to legal research, higher education, policy development, and academic leadership.
