Dr. Haleh Parsa

Dr. Haleh Parsa is an accomplished applied linguist, English language educator, researcher, academic leader, curriculum developer, and assessor with more than 23 years of professional experience in higher education and English language teaching. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, where she graduated with distinction, along with a Master’s degree in English as a Second Language and a CELTA certification from the University of Cambridge.

She is currently serving as Manager of the Be More Centre at MAHSA University, where she oversees academic and administrative functions and teaches English at Foundation, Diploma, and Degree levels. Her areas of expertise include English for Academic Purposes, IELTS preparation, TESL, Foundation English, online and blended learning, Outcome-Based Education, and CEFR-aligned assessment.

Dr. Parsa has held key academic leadership roles, including Senior Lecturer, Head of English Program, and Head of English Department at City University Malaysia. She has contributed significantly to curriculum planning, program development, assessment, academic quality assurance, and English language education. She is also an editorial board member, journal reviewer, international adjudicator, academic assessor, and active member of professional associations in applied linguistics and translation.
