About
Dr. Akash Tiwari is a geospatial scientist, hydrology researcher, GIS and Remote Sensing specialist, and machine learning practitioner with expertise in groundwater quality assessment, water resource management, hydrological modelling, climate variability, land use land cover analysis, and spatial decision support systems. He completed his Ph.D. in Geography from the Central University of Haryana and currently serves as Research Associate (RA-I) at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi. He is actively involved in the prestigious Decision Support System (DSS) for Water Resource Management Project funded by the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), Government of India, and the Royal Danish Embassy. His research integrates GIS, Remote Sensing, Machine Learning, Hydrological Modelling, and Decision Support Systems to address complex environmental and water resource challenges. He has published multiple research papers in high-impact Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals and has represented India internationally under the DANIDA Fellowship Programme in Denmark. He has also mentored more than 15 B.Tech. and M.Tech. students in research projects and dissertations.
