Prof. Pranav Kumar Prabhakar is a distinguished academician, researcher, and administrator in the field of Biotechnology and Clinical Biochemistry, currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Biotechnology at Nagaland University, India. With over a decade of academic and research leadership experience, he has held key roles including Deputy Director (R&D), Professor (Research Cadre), and Head of Research Impact & Outcome at leading institutions such as Parul University and Lovely Professional University.
His research expertise lies in metabolic disorders, particularly diabetes mellitus, focusing on molecular mechanisms, phytochemical-based therapeutics, and innovative strategies for drug delivery including oral insulin delivery systems. He has contributed extensively to the scientific community with 80+ research publications, numerous high-impact journal articles, patents, and copyrights.
Recognized globally, Prof. Prabhakar has been listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists (Stanford University) for multiple consecutive years. He has also authored, edited, and contributed to numerous international books and book chapters, while actively mentoring PhD scholars, postgraduate students, and research professionals.
