Dr. Nivin Abdelmeguid is an accomplished academic, environmental economist, and sustainability expert specializing in climate change mitigation, energy transition, and environmental governance. Currently serving as Assistant Professor (Adjunct) at Cairo University, she combines academic excellence with extensive international consulting experience in climate policy and sustainable development.
Her doctoral research focused on long-term energy planning and greenhouse gas mitigation using advanced modeling tools such as LEAP. She has worked with globally recognized organizations including IFC, UNIDO, UNDP, and IPCC, contributing to major projects in renewable energy, climate finance, and environmental policy.
Dr. Abdelmeguid has authored peer-reviewed publications, technical reports for UNFCCC, and book chapters on energy transition and climate resilience.
