About
Dr. Naveen B. P. is a renowned academician, researcher, and geotechnical engineering expert with over 20 years of experience in teaching, research, consultancy, and industry. He currently serves as Professor & Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at NITTTR Kolkata under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. His expertise spans Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering, with notable contributions to landfill management, sustainable infrastructure development, and foundation engineering.
A prolific researcher, Dr. Naveen has published more than 90 research papers, including over 40 SCI/Scopus-indexed publications, and serves as Chief Editor of an international journal. His work has earned him several prestigious honors, including the SERB TARE Award, IEI Young Engineers Award, ISSMGE Foundation Award, and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Award. He has also contributed to major national and international projects such as the Surat Metro Project, Bangladesh Railway Project, and the Chenab Bridge geophysical survey.
Beyond research, Dr. Naveen is actively involved in academic leadership, industry collaboration, and skill development initiatives. He has established advanced laboratories, secured key institutional partnerships, organized international conferences, and played a vital role in strengthening technical education and sustainable engineering practices.
