Ms. Maya Sherman is a globally recognized AI policy expert, technology strategist, and innovation advisor with over a decade of experience in artificial intelligence governance, digital transformation, and cross-sectoral program leadership. Currently serving as Innovation Attaché at the Embassy of Israel in India, she plays a pivotal role in fostering India–Israel collaborations in emerging technologies, startups, and responsible AI ecosystems.
She holds an M.Sc. from the University of Oxford as a fully funded Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Leadership Scholar and brings strong interdisciplinary expertise spanning AI ethics, data governance, and public policy. She has led and contributed to large-scale AI initiatives involving governments, international organizations (OECD, GPAI), academia, and industry across 25+ countries.
Ms. Sherman has spearheaded over 100 innovation programs including AI bootcamps, policy initiatives, and digital transformation projects impacting thousands of stakeholders. Her work bridges technology, policy, and social impact, particularly focusing on responsible AI, climate tech, and inclusive digital ecosystems.
