She holds a Ph.D. in English with specialization in poetry from Bharathiar University. With over 7 years of teaching experience, she has contributed significantly to higher education through teaching, research, curriculum development, and academic leadership.
Her research focuses on Victorian poetry, particularly the Pre-Raphaelite movement and the works of Dante Gabriel Rossetti, exploring themes of symbolism, imagination, and psychological interpretation. She also engages in comparative literary studies bridging Western and Indian poetic traditions, along with interdisciplinary work involving AI and digital humanities.
Dr. Elakkiya has published multiple research papers, presented at national and international conferences, and actively contributes to academic development by organizing webinars, seminars, and research workshops. She is deeply committed to mentoring students, fostering research culture, and advancing literary scholarship.
