Dr. C. Velmurugan

Dr. C. Velmurugan is an accomplished academic librarian, researcher, scientometrician, educator, and information management professional with more than 24 years of experience in academic libraries, research support services, digital library management, scholarly communication, and higher education administration. He currently serves as Chief Librarian and Head at Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MAHER), Kanchipuram, where he leads library modernization initiatives, research support services, accreditation documentation, digital resource management, and institutional knowledge management. A recognized expert in Library and Information Science, Dr. Velmurugan specializes in Scientometrics, Bibliometrics, Informetrics, Webometrics, Digital Libraries, Research Analytics, Library Automation, Open Access Publishing, Research Visibility, and Information Retrieval Systems. He has authored over 155 scholarly publications, including research papers, conference proceedings, book chapters, and books, and actively contributes as an editorial board member, reviewer, resource person, and invited speaker for numerous national and international journals and conferences.
