Dr. Arkadeep Mukherjee

Dr. Arkadeep Mukherjee is an accomplished academician and researcher in the field of biotechnology and environmental sciences, currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biosciences at Graphic Era (Deemed to be) University, Dehradun.

He holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, where his research focused on metatranscriptomic approaches to identify functional genes in metal-polluted soils. He also brings significant international research experience, having served as an International Research Professor at Yeungnam University, South Korea for nearly five years.

His research expertise lies in wastewater treatment, environmental bioremediation, and advanced oxidation processes integrating physical, biological, and photocatalytic techniques. His work contributes to addressing critical challenges such as antibiotic-resistant bacteria, emerging contaminants, and sustainable environmental management.

Dr. Mukherjee has published in high-impact international journals and holds patents in advanced wastewater treatment technologies. He is actively engaged in interdisciplinary research, teaching, and mentoring students in biotechnology, microbiology, and environmental sciences.
